There is no doubt that Bill Gates has had monumental success in terms of corporate success and financial success. But oftentimes another layer of the global megaman's success is overlooked - his personal success. From a simple college student to the man he is today, Bill has made quite a transition.

The first type of success that Bill has is through his entrepreneurial spirit. Bill took what was a simple idea with his friends in college all the way through to a major corporation today that spans the globe and employs hundreds of people. Adding to this is his want to excite newer generations to think outside the box as well as challenge themselves to help others. Take, for example, Bill's visit to the United Kingdom's Department for International Development. There, Bill spoke to groups about how we can bring positive change to our world through some of the steps that he has been personally successful with.

Bill's personal success doesn't stop with his business sense - Bill also has had much success with writing. Bill has written and has much success with his books The Road Ahead, Inside Out, and Business @ the Speed of Thought. These three books essentially outline Bill's vision of the future of technology and his views on how to get more from it.

Finally, Bill has had a great deal of success with his family. He is the proud father of three children (two daughters and a son) and the husband of Melinda Gates, who is very successful herself. The family held closely together and they are known to work together in areas such as philanthropy (where Bill, Melinda, and his father are all co-chairs) and travel to seminars together, such as the World Economic Forum.

In later years a great part of Bill's personal success has come through his founding of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which has worked to help increase the global standard of living through health and education, such as by helping college students who come from low in-come families get college education.
